Much of the area farmed is on the beautiful Benacre Estate. Within this area are ancient woodlands, SSSI's (Sites of Special Scientific Interest) and internationally renowned nature reserves. It is the home of many rare migratory and native birds as well as a habitat for a diverse range of native fauna and flora. Seabreeze Asparagus work closely with conservation bodies, including English Nature to maintain natural habitat and to preserve the environment. We also take our responsibility to the consumer, particularly food safety, very seriously and in conjunction with our own field trials, have developed up to date vegetable production alongside a traditionally run estate. In the last ten years we have been moving into Asparagus production, when the first nine acres were planted. The Asparagus crop was researched thoroughly and the principles of quality and care for the consumer, crop and the environment have been applied to Asparagus. The result, with a little help from the ideal conditions around the Suffolk Coast, is an Asparagus spear of the best quality and a subtle flavour. The popularity "Sea Breeze" Asparagus has led to plans to increase the acreage year by year up to as much as one hundred acres
